DON'T LOOK UP MOVIE RELATE TO THE REALITY!

The plot is about the comet coming towards the Earth. The movie is all about the reaction of people towards it, the behavior of people in general, how the government is handling the situation, government in general, scandal, money, science, etc. The movie is on a serious topic which was represented as a dark comedy. It is dark comedy because it’s a representation of reality even though covering serious issues.

 • Comet=Covid 

 The comet is coming towards the earth which is somewhat like covid situations.

Virus is founded in China in a lab that many don’t know . In the movie, the comet was first discovered by the PHD student in an university which is not well established organization like NASA .

In the movie the government separates the informants so the news of the comet won’t turn into exclusive exactly like covid. The scientists who were working in the lab well! Who knows where they are?

• Politics, Politicians & Scandals

The president in the movie was more worried for election rather than comet exactly like pandemic in US. Previous government and president were more worried for election rather than covid.

Also, two presidents, one from movie and one from past. Both somehow has a Sex scandal. Both tried to (had) incorporate their family (children) in the government.

The approach towards the lethal situations like comet and covid were the same. First there was denial ,then involved the specialists of the situations and blame them .

• New, Media, Entertainment

The tv channel and today’s generation in the movie is like a mirror image to the reality. No one cares for scientists opinions but worries about celebrities and their affairs.

• People , Characters or Casting

The geeky character played by Leo was very well. The anxiety not know what to talk, because he was good looking he got famous.

The character played by Lawrence was also remarkable. The looks, the exaggerations, the break up ,the memes … relatable to reality. Specifically the remarks and memes about her being lesbian in the movie because of her looks and personality were so real.

The rich guy in the movie , you can relate him to present billionaires. The geeky and introvert personality, rigidity, ego ,how to get richer or never let go the opportunity even at the cost of earth and having his way. The plan failed which somewhat you can relate to the Space X’s earlier operations.

The money, government , comet and specifically the characters .. all are relatable.
